A lot of guys look at this and say “pre-nup” and it’s probably true if you’re the typical guy marrying the typical girl these days.
But I have a feeling that people in traditionalist communities (real ones, not fake trads) aren’t worried every time they see these things because people in our community aren’t out to be that rich and we (hopefully) don’t have affairs and we (with rare exception) aren’t snakes who ditch on marriages when things don’t go our way.
“The fetus isn’t alive until birth because it’s entirely dependent on someone else” is my favorite argument for abortion because it’s so easily debated. Let’s say you have a newborn baby. If you placed that baby on the ground and walked away, would it be able to do anything on its own? Breathe, sure. But it wouldn’t be breathing for long since no one would be around around to feed it or clothe it or protect it from the elements. It would die in a day or two. Humans are incredibly fragile and dependent creatures well into the first few years of their life. Regardless of where you fall on the abortion issue, “It can’t survive without help” is not an argument for how alive something is.
